Today Nintendo Game Boy Color Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

20 years ago, on 21st October 1998, Nintendo released their Game Boy Color in Japan. The Game Boy Color is the successor for the original Game Boy. The Game Boy Color is one of their successful pocket console with 118.69 million unit sold. Pokemon Gold and Silver is their best selling games with approximately 14.51 million units sales record.


The Game Boy Color still use ROM cartridge games, but it now has color on its display. Gamers love the Game Boy because it has backward compatibility which allows them to play original Game Boy games on it. The black and white games will be autofill with color palettes which make it more attractive.


You can make some modification on its display by adding a front light screen to improve the gaming experience.
